Picture perfect it all began
Picture perfect through my mind it ran
God couldn’t have painted a better sky tonight
Watching it here makes it all so right
I lay here by your side this evening
Eyes so large and smile just gleaming
The fireflies dance around us so long
The crickets and locust sing nature’s song
Laying here it seems so clear
The stars and sky take away my fear
To be honest what am I scared of?
Nothing can change me except for His pure love
Maybe it’s the surreal feeling I have
Sitting by your side in the crisp cool grass
Looking above I see it now
Jesus’ face from brow to brow
I see Him reach His hand to mine
A feeling I love time after time
Again so surreal I must check this place
Check for signs of worldly space
I look around but none is there
Breathing deeper in the crisp calm air
Can you feel the tranquility tonight?
Everything just feeling so just and right
It’s times like these I am taken away
I come back to You from my own way
Your beautiful presence
Touching me so bold with essence
Turning to her I stare purely amazed
She smiles too because of God’s display
People of earth, we have it so good
Better than we ever should
